Andy Krebs - raceTeam Director, Triathlete & Runner
Andy graduated from Defiance College in 1997 where he was a three sport athlete in Cross Country, Basketball, and Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field. He was recognized as a two time NCAA Academic All-American, individual conference champion, cross-country team championship, a school record holder (1000M indoor), as well as numerous 1st Team All-Conference Awards. But most importantly he met his future beautiful bride – Natalie!
After graduating from the University of South Carolina with an MBA in 2001, Andy restarted his competitive career/fire as a way to challenge himself after rehabbing from an ACL replacement. He quickly moved from local duathlons in 2002 to racing as a co-ed elite adventure racer in 2003 and solo 24hr adventure racer in 2004. When Ironman came to Arizona in 2005 And decided it would be his first triathlon.
"I love pushing myself towards new and exciting goals while challenging the mind and body along the way. Racelab and I have been partnering as a sponsored and coached athlete since 2003. After 11 Years, racelab is still as fun and exciting as when I joined. Bettina has been wonderful and has kept me injury free (minus the self-inflicted ones J) and pushing my training to the edge while taking in account my family and work. Natalie and I have 3 awesome kids who have picked up the love for competing which so much fun to be apart of."
