AUSTIN - Our Story
The Racelab group in Arizona has grown to become a strong, positive force that we now bring the same knowledge and atmosphere to Austin, Texas brought to you by Josh and Janée Terwoord!
Josh and Janée moved to Austin from Flagstaff, Arizona where they both attained their Bachelor’s degrees in Exercise Science at Northern Arizona University. Josh coached NAU’s triathlon team to two Collegiate National Championships, instructed a triathlon class at NAU, and coached endurance athletes individually before the move to Austin.
Josh has been a passionate distance runner for over 16 years and a competitive triathlete since 2007. He has been coached by Racelab’s head coach, Bettina Warnholtz, for over nine years. During that time he has raced the Ironman World Championship twice, the 70.3 World Championship twice, set a personal best at the Boston Marathon with a 2:36, and set an Ironman personal best of 9:04.
Janée graduated Suma Cum Laude from NAU and is now pursuing a graduate degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Texas. She has raced 5k all the way up to marathon, and sprint to half iron distance triathlon. She was NAU’s triathlon team president for two years, a time in which the team saw massive growth.
Josh’s high-level experience as an athlete and Janée’s in-depth scientific knowledge of human physiology combine to form a well-balanced approach to coaching and sports performance.
